 Before you purchase a garage door, you need to know the safety features that it comes with. The auto reverse mechanism is one such safety feature. It will cause the door to reverse its movement when there is an obstruction in the way during closing. You need to test these features now and then to get an idea of their functionality. You may need to replace weatherstripping on the garage door when they become damaged or worn out so that it is functioning effectively. This is what prevents drafts and moisture from getting inside. But with age and wear, the seal created by the weatherstripping will deteriorate letting drafts from outside come in.
